My Approach the Practice of Elder Law
Unless you have been injured in an accident, are going through marital problems or are running your own business, few people ever seek the help of an attorney in their younger years. As we age, however, I find that people have an increased need for the services of an attorney help us through the problems of aging for our parents, relatives, or ourselves. This can be an unsettling event for everyone. It is my goal to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
I want to make contacting me as easy as possible. I have a 24 hour messaging service. I have a Google Voice telephone number which rings all of my telephones so that I can talk with you as quickly as possible even when I am out of town. Where necessary, I make visits to client’s homes or businesses to accommodate your needs.
It is extremely important to me to make the attorney-client relationship as transparent and the law as understandable as possible for you. I try to speak in plain English not legalize and I find that diagrams and pictures are helpful in communication complex issues. All of our elder law planning for you is set forth in writing so that you can consult the plan at your leisure, make notes and ask questions about meaning and effect of language.
Elder law is a branch of law that assists in finding solutions to the process of aging. It is my goal to provide you with the best solutions to those problems. I do not just provide a will service or a trust service or a Medicaid planning service. In order for you to have the best solution, it is important to consider all of the elements of the problems of aging. For example, in order for you to have a complete solution, you may need a will that is integrated into a trust, that deals with the potential of becoming disabled during your lifetime as well as disposing of your assets upon your death. Perhaps it is necessary for you to create a trust for your child with a disability that will allow the continuation of a Medicaid payment for that child’s medication. The practice of elder law is all about finding solutions for your problems of aging.
